Mocha to Trillanes: Democracy is dead? Excuse me po, hindi kayo ang demokrasya

Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has rejected opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s claim that the country’s democracy has been defeated following an arrest warrant issued against him.

“Dahil hindi pabor sa inyo, talo na agad ang demokrasya? Excuse me po, hindi po kayo ang demokrasya,” she wrote on Facebook.

Trillanes earlier said democracy was dead after a Makati court ordered his arrest for rebellion charges revived by the government. The former rebel soldier, whose amnesty has been revoked by President Duterte, posted bail to secure his temporary freedom.

Uson likewise welcomed the court’s arrest order against Trillanes, saying evil would not triumph in the country.

“Finally! Malaya tayong gawin ang lahat ng bagay ngunit dapat ay handa tayong harapin ang consequence nito. Hindi magtatagumpay ang kasamaan sa ating bayan. MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!!!” she said in another Facebook post.
