The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has finally lost the tag of being one the worst airports in the world for 2017.

In the annual survey conducted by the travel website “The Guide to Sleeping in Airports” on October 15, 2017 where travelers were asked to rate airports worldwide based on their overall airport experience, NAIA is no longer included in the list of the worst airports.

Last year, NAIA was 5th among the 10 worst airports in Asia based on the survey by the same travel website.

Department of Transportation Secretary Arturo Tugade welcomed the good news, but said more hard work are needed for NAIA to be included in the list of best airports in the world.

“While it is good that we are not listed among the worst, let us work even harder to be included among the best. We should be careful that we do not backslide. The show must go on and better,” Tugade said.

Meanwhile, four Philippine airports are included in this year’s top 25 best airports in Asia, according to the same travel website. They are Iloilo International Airport (12th); Mactan-Cebu International Airport (13th); Davao International Airport (17th) and Clark International Airport (22nd).
