Former President Gloria Arroyo, next NEDA chief?

President Duterte is reportedly to name former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as the next chief of National Economic and Development Authority.

A Tribune source said the president will make this announcement when he delivers his fifth State of the Nation Address Monday afternoon.

“He will announce the appointment of former Pres. Arroyo as NEDA Director General,” the source said.

NEDA is now being headed by acting Secretary Karl Chua.

“It would be interesting to see how she and Sec Dominguez, both strong-willed people, to work together harmoniously,” the source added.

Arroyo, in a live interview with Tribune which was aired over Daily Tribune’s Facebook page, refused to confirm or deny the report.

“I dont want to answer hypothetical question,” she said.
