A Japanese company is investing P750 million to build a multi-facility venture in Barangay Ayusan II here.

During the groundbreaking ceremony last Wednesday, Tsukasa Kato, president of Sanko HI Corporation said his company will build a caregiving facility, technical and vocational training school and assessment center, under the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) supervision, a factory for steel parts to be exported to Japan, a hospital with a partnership of South City Hospital of Dr. John Cenica, commercial areas, a building for government offices and a pension village for Japanese retirees.

Kato said the investment will benefit the residents of the village and nearby towns.

The facilities will boost tourism, develop infrastructure facilities, and promote the Philippines as an investment haven for domestic and foreign sources.

Kato said the Sanko Mambukal Life Care Home Inc. at Governor’s Lodge Mambukal Resort Murcia already caters to Filipino, Japanese, and other foreign retirees.

Kato said he has received positive feedback on the projects from their investors, clients, and prospective business partners.

Raymundo Armas, president and chief executive officer of Buildsmore, the local contractor, said construction will start as soon they complete the legal requirements and acquire the necessary permits. The project is expected to be completed in five years.
