“Before, it’s ‘talk, talk, talk’ then ‘plan, plan, plan.’ Now, it’s ‘build, build, build” said Dept. of Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade.

It’s no longer wishful thinking–this “colossal infrastructure” is set to begin in December this year.

Tugade said that Japan and the Philippines have signed the first tranche of a JPY 104.530 billion (or nearly PHP 50 billion) loan for Metro Manila’s first subway last March.

The Mega Manila Subway, which is part of President Duterte’s Build, Build, Build Plan, is expected to be partially operational by 2020 and fully operational by 2025.
