Nasa Singapore na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte upang dumalo sa 32nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations o ASEAN Summit.
Mag-a-alas 10:00 kagabi, oras sa Pilipinas nang dumating si Pangulong Duterte sa Singapore mula sa Davao International Airport.
Sa kanyang departure speech, inihayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na nananatili ang Pilipinas sa pangakong matatag na pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kapwa ASEAN member upang makamit ang mga pagbabagong hinahangad para sa rehiyon.
“[Singaporean] Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s invitation provides the opportunity for Southeast Asian nations to continue working closely to further strengthen community-building and advance greater peace, security and stability in the region.”

Isusulong din aniya sa pulong ang implementasyon ng kasunduan para sa proteksyon ng mga migrante na nilagdaan sa Pilipinas noong isang taon.

Ayon sa Palasyo, nakatakdang magsagawa ng bilateral meetings ngayong araw si Pangulong Duterte kasama sina Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Indonesian President Joko Widodo at Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuân Phúc para sa sidelines ng Summit.
