Former President Benigno Aquino III said that the public should be informed regarding President Rodrigo Duterte’s Health amid the claim of the exiled communist leader Jose Maria Sison that the President has fallen into a coma.
At an interview during the commemoration of his father’s death anniversary in Manila Memorial Park, former Chief Executive said it is in the 1987 Constitution that the public should know the health status of the President.
“If I remember constitution, the cabinet must be fully aware of the health of the President. That’s mandated by the Constitution,” Aquino said.

He added it’s important that the people know clearly that Duterte has no health issue.
“Kung wala namang issue, kaya namang sagutin. Ang importante kalma ang sambayanan na talagang klarong-klaro at maliwanag sa bayan [If there is no issue, this can easily be answered. What’s important is that the public clearly knows about (the issue)],” Aquino said.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque earlier said that they would still verify with the President if they would be releasing his medical records to the public.
