Sa Utos ng Pangulo, Resignation ni Comelec Bautista, Accepted at Effective Immediately

Manila Philippines, kinumpirma ng malacañang kay Commission on Elections chairman Andres Bautista na tinanggap ng pangulo ang kanyang resignation sa kanyang anuncio kahapon ng hapon, lunes Octobre 22.

Sa halip na ang kanyang resignation ay effective December 31, na nakasaad sa kanyang resignation letter ay, sinabi nito na epektibo immediately ang kanyang resignation.

“We refer to your letter tendering your resignation as Chairman of the Commission on Elections. Upon the instruction of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, I wish to inform you that your resignation is hereby accepted, effective immediately,”

Sinabi ni Bautista, na hindi na umano siya makaka dalo sa gagawing Comelec’s en banc meeting na naka scheduled ngayong Martes, sapagkat ang en banc ang mag de decisyon sa magiging acting chairman nito.

Halo halo ang kanyang reaction ng matanggap ang naturang liham.

“Mamimiss ko ang tao ng Comelec. You know people ask me do I have any regrets, because it’s almost two and a half years din ako sa Comelec and if ever I have any regret, it would be because of the people,”

“Ang nakalagay (sa sulat) ay effective immediately (pagbibitiw sa puwesto). Kung ano man ang pasya ng ating Pangulo ay malugod nating tatanggapin. Mabuti rin na bigyan ng sapat na panahon yung papalit sa akin, para maging handa,” dagdag ni Bautista.

Noong October 11, ang House of Representative voted para ma impeach si Bautista, ilang horas bago siya mag anuncio ng kanyang resignasyon na sa katapusan ng december nitong taon.

Inaakusahan si Bautisa sa pag traydo ng tiwala ng publiko, dahil sa kanyang failure na ma address ang hacking na naganap sa website ng comelec noong marso 2015 and failing to properly disclose his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth, and  admitting that he had received referral fees from the Comelec’s technology provider Smartmatic through the Divina Law Office, and for obstructing justice in saying that, pending investigation, the script tweak of the transparency server during the 2016 elections was “merely cosmetic.”

Hinggil umano sa impeachment ni Bautista ay hahayaan raw muna at ayaw niya pangunahan kung sino ang mag dedecisyon nito.
