Senator Leila de Lima on Sunday blamed President Rodrigo Duterte over the killing of a South Korean businessman inside Camp Crame.
De Lima also said the incident proves that the President is giving out orders on extrajudicial killings.
In a speech during the multi-sectoral leaders conference of the Negros United Coalition, De Lima said the killing of Ick Joo Jee shows that Duterte is ordering policemen to commit extrajudicial killings as part of the administration’s war on drugs.
“That to me is a damning proof that it’s the police that is behind these death squads. ‘Yung mga involved diyan sa tokhang for ransom na yan, yung sa Korean na yan, these are officials and personnel of the anti-illegal drugs unit itself of the PNP and that Korean was still right there inside Camp Crame,” De Lima said.
“Hindi na yata Camp Crame yan, Camp Crime na,” she said.
